The Foyer Public at Theater Basel is a pilot project for a third place for innovative cultural public engagement: a space open daily for encounters, discourse, and artistic experimentation—open, accessible, and relevant.

The conference uses this unique location not only as a stage, but as a living example of what we are talking about. In addition, Theater Basel, with its versatile rooms, technical infrastructure, and interdisciplinary expertise, offers ideal conditions for high-quality, yet resource-efficient conference production. Furthermore, open spaces have always been part of Basel's DNA.
